Mobile Me **Review UPDATE** Back to my Mac

On thing I forgot to mention in my review that Mobile Me offers is a feature called "Back to my Mac".

Basically this feature enables you to access your Mac at home remotely. This requires a Mobile Me subscription and two Macs with Leopard OSX installed.

It's actually really cool basically after setting up both Macs, it'll automatically show up in your "Devices" panel in the Mac finder, from there you can click on it and browse what's in there and to grab that file simply drag and drop it your desktop.

Also what you can do is "share my screen", what this does is that you'll be able to see your Mac's screen remotely and control and use all the programs from you Mac remotely. You can launch apps, send email and do everything as if you were sitting in front of your other Mac.

Very cool feature if you have two Macs both running Leopard OSX. This makes it extremely easy to set this up.

I've done this in Windows but it reacquires some pretty technical setup requirements such as going into your router and opening up the RDC port, finding your external IP address and setting up both Windows computers to allow communications with each other. Plus your home Internet does not come with a static external IP it's dynamic meaning that every month or so your ISP will change your external IP, if that happens you won't be able to RDC to your Windows machine at home.

But with Back to my Mac and Mobile me they handle all of this for you so you don't have to worry about anything.

Although it request 2 Mac running Leopard OSX and a Mobile Me subscription this can be an extremely useful feature.
