Edit this!

So my buddy texts me last night and asks what a good program is to edit and chop up MP3's with. There are a lot of applications out there that will do this but one I recommend to everyone because 1. it's easy to use and 2. it costs FREE.99. Plus there are clients for Mac and PC.

Do a Google search for Audacity or just follow this link:

This app is really easy to use, you just highlight the areas you don't want and hit cut, you can stitch pieces together export back to MP3 etc. Also it has a line in recording feature that can record from any source you plug in (assuming your PC has a line in). Also what's really cool is that it will record streaming audio. You have to be there to press record and stop record but if you record too much at the beginning and end just chop it off with the cut feature.
I use it all the time it's an awesome free application! So get out there and edit those MP3's!
